Belgium Taxi Grand Prix
24 AUGUST 09
28 AUGUST 09
308.052 km
The final race of the Taxi Grand Prix season is over and we have our season champion. Thanks to all the teams who took part and congratulations to those who crossed the finishing line again.
It was a gruelling final race but Morrells eventually emerged victorious after just 1 day, 10 hours and 13 minutes. Let’s look at how they did it.
Everyone got off to a fantastic start with Morrells and Cab F1 fighting for pole position from the moment they left the grid. After a savvy change of tactics and drivers, Morrells managed to get the upper hand of Cab F1 and streaked away in the lead. After that, it was up to Darby Taylor and Tay to try and catch them. But Morrells had built up an impressive lead and were impossible to catch, crossing the line a full six minutes ahead of Darby Taylor and winning themselves that grand prize.

The longest circuit in the Formula 1 calendar, Spa-Francorchamps is also the oldest track. Drivers' must complete 44 laps of the track which is just over 7kms long. Last year Lewis was given a 25 second penalty by the stewards and finished third. Heikki was unlucky too and was forced to retire after experiencing gear box problems.
